Meet the “A” Team

“Working as a construction supervisor for many years, the most important thing I have learned is that the success of every project starts with a strong team. And that’s the principle that INTOiT is founded on” - Alex Grogan.

Alex Grogan

General Manager

Alex commenced his career in the residential building and construction industry, gaining valuable management experience as a building supervisor, overseeing the construction of up to 25 homes at a time. These roles saw Alex coordinating the work of various trades, and managing sub-contractors and developed his strong focus on positive working relationships. Accruing over 10 years in domestic construction management, provided Alex with practical insight into best safety practices in the workplace, and the role competent leadership plays in maintaining workplace safety.

These domestic management roles laid a solid foundation for Alex to transition to larger construction projects, where he continued to enjoy leading a team and thrived in his role of mentoring and training younger or inexperienced workers.

“I’ve always gotten a kick out of being a mentor. I believe in quality training, and the value that well-trained staff brings to the worksite” - Alex.

Over the past ten years, Alex has thrived as a leading hand and supervisor on Tier 1 construction projects including the Gorgan Project in Western Australia, and more recently supervising works on the Metro Tunnel Project.

Bringing a wealth of construction and management experience to his role as the INTOiT Civils director, Alex has the know-how but most importantly, the people skills required to get the job done.

“I understand the construction game. I love it. But building strong relationships is my biggest asset. I have formed solid relationships throughout my career, from co-workers and other tradies, through to key industry contacts and upper-level management, and most recently I have formed great working relationships with the John Holland team, CYP, and the CMFEU. From top to bottom, I pride myself on getting along with everyone and getting the job done” - Alex.
